Wildcat Equity Partners is a privately held family investment firm focused on businesses where long-term capital, management expertise and perseverance can make all the difference.

Built for work that takes time.

Good businesses often need more time than capital allows. We bring the capital, so we can give the time.

Infrastructure

Our infrastructure work brings together project development, financing and supply-chain experience, with Energy and Telecommunications as its two areas.

Where the areas meet
Our two areas increasingly overlap. Bringing energy and telecommunications experience together has opened hybrid opportunities that neither would reach alone, such as the power infrastructure that data centers now require. We look for these intersections deliberately.
Beyond the two areas
Energy and Telecommunications are where our experience is deepest, not the limit of what we consider. We are open to any form of long-term, stable infrastructure where patient capital and disciplined structure can make a difference.

Energy

We develop and invest in utility-scale renewable energy, with experience in the United States and India across solar, wind and storage.

Development and financing
Our work spans project origination and acquisition, construction and permanent financing, and the arrangements that connect generation to power buyers. We bring together project economics, capital structure and the commercial decisions required to move development forward.
Solar supply chain
Our experience extends from upstream raw materials through wafer and cell manufacturing to module assembly. We have developed investment strategies across this chain to secure production capacity and decrease the cost of solar supply.
Selected experience
Renewable energy finance in the United States

Wildcat's work has included both structuring finance for renewable energy construction and permanent funding, as well as sourcing and evaluating projects supported by utility and corporate power buyers.

Development and supply-chain investment in India

Wildcat entered India as a renewable energy developer and supply-chain investor. Our work has included wind, solar and storage development and the structuring of round-the-clock renewable power projects.

Utility-scale renewable energy development Historical

Our work included originating and developing utility-scale solar, wind and storage opportunities: assembling a development pipeline, securing funding commitments across project development, construction and operations, and identifying municipal and corporate power buyers.

Telecommunications

Our telecommunications work brings together low-latency connectivity and the power infrastructure needed to support data centers.

Power for data centers
We are developing a multi-gigawatt power project in Texas to support data centers. The development combines multiple power sources, including grid supply, renewable generation, natural gas and fuel cells.
Low-latency connectivity Historical
Our experience includes developing ultra-low-latency microwave networks for algorithmic trading firms across the United States, Europe and Asia, and leading the sale of development-stage network assets.

Life Sciences

We bring capital, commercial structure and operating experience to the space between academic research, clinical development and the delivery of laboratory services.

From research to development
Our life sciences work began where promising research needed the capital, structure and time to progress. It has included technology licensing, pharmaceutical development and the design of a public-private approach to advancing academic drug discoveries toward clinical development.
Pharmaceutical development
Our experience includes investment in a contract research business supporting preclinical and early clinical drug development. Our work covered analytical method development and pharmacokinetic studies, which examine how a drug moves through the body.
Analytical laboratory services
We have built and invested in laboratory and consulting businesses serving pharmaceuticals, food safety and other regulated markets. This work has included laboratory development, operational audits, quality-control systems and standard operating procedures.
Selected experience

Drug development for resistant infections Historical

Our pharmaceutical development work included treatments for drug-resistant staphylococcal infections, licensing research technologies, coordinating preclinical studies and developing an international patent portfolio.

Academic cancer drug development Historical

Wildcat developed the concept and business plan for a public-private drug development initiative with an academic cancer center and negotiated a memorandum of understanding to establish it. The model was intended to help academic discoveries progress toward clinical development.

Pharmaceutical research services Historical

Wildcat invested in an analytical contract research organization supporting preclinical and Phase I development programs, including analytical methods and pharmacokinetic studies.

Laboratory development and operations

Wildcat's work has included establishing and restructuring laboratories, alongside consulting on operational procedures, quality control and testing requirements in regulated markets.

Defense

Wildcat launched its Defense business in 2026 in response to global events and increases in U.S. and allied defense spending.

Investment focus
We are pursuing a range of investment opportunities, from established prime contractors to startups developing new defense technologies. Our focus includes traditional industrial manufacturing, autonomous systems, and artificial intelligence.
Approach
This is where we are different. We are motivated by a desire to contribute to the defense of the United States and its allies. We are driven to protect our ways of life, the people who work in the defense industry and those who use our products. Defense is an area where development cycles are long, capital requirements are substantial, and industry and government work closely together. We support businesses that can strengthen critical capabilities and rebuild industrial capacity across allied nations and we are in it for the long-term.

Selected experience

How we build

Across our businesses, our approach is the same: understand the underlying opportunity, structure the capital and the business around it, and stay involved for the long term.

  • Synergy discovery
  • Capital structuring
  • Operating expertise
  • Active involvement

We build and invest in companies across Infrastructure, Life Sciences and Defense: sectors where timelines are long, capital requirements are substantial and success depends on getting complex things right.

As a family firm, we are not constrained by traditional fund cycles or short-term investment horizons. This allows us to take a longer view, work closely with management teams and partners and commit capital over the time required to build enduring businesses. Our work is to structure the larger financing each project needs: private, institutional and project-level capital in a form that will carry the project through development, construction and operation.
