George Nicolaides

George Nicolaides is Executive Director and President of Wildcat Infrastructure. An international energy executive, he has held senior leadership roles at BP, Reliance Industries and Dangote Industries, with a career spanning refining technology, business development, refinery general management and the preparation of major industrial facilities for service.

At BP, he served as Vice President of the Worldwide Refining Technology Group, then as VP and GM for major refineries in Australia and the USA. He subsequently served as President of Refining Technology at Reliance Industries, India's biggest energy and industrial business. He was responsible for all aspects of investment strategy, technology development and implementation, standards, capital project support and technical performance of the company's refining capacity.

At Dangote Industries, he served as Director of Refining Operations during the development of the company's refinery in Nigeria, the largest in Africa. His work included the business and market strategy, technology selection, organizational structure, staffing and training the technical workforce for refinery operations.

His background gives Wildcat Infrastructure a substantial base of experience in assessing how technology, people and operating requirements fit together in complex, capital-intensive businesses.
